National Train-the-Trainers Workshop in Turkiye
On the 20th and 21st of June 2024, KEVADER held the national train-the-trainer workshop in Nevşehir, Turkiye with the participation of 20 youth trainers. The main objectives of the train-the-trainers workshop in Turkiye were to equip youth trainers with the skills and knowledge necessary to support social inclusion among young people with migrant backgrounds. This was achieved by fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, especially related to the trade of natural goods, to help participants guide migrant youth in launching small-scale business initiatives.
The participants of the workshop were expected to understand how to train young people in vulnerable positions, especially those with migrant backgrounds. By the end of the workshops, they should have gained insights into fostering entrepreneurship, developed networking skills and learned how to leverage natural products for business.
The participants of the workshop provided positive feedback, especially appreciating the interactive nature of the training and the focus on digital tools and local trade. They highlighted the usefulness of the resources for supporting entrepreneurial ventures among migrants.
